Biographical information, subject files, reports, and printed materials relating chiefly to his career with the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company in Sonora, Mexico, and as a consultant with Pincock, Allen, & Holt of Tucson, Arizona. The Cananea Reports contain documents on particular phases of the operation. Included in the files are correspondence, memoranda, research notes, and blueprints. Field Trip reports written by Stern and other engineers detail visits or studies of related mining ventures, mainly in Arizona. Supplementary Printed Materials contains brochures, equipment catalogs, and similar information on a wide variety of mining topics.
